Huck was born and raised in northeast Tennessee. He started fly fishing in 1996 and it didn’t take long for the addiction to set in. After fishing the Watauga and South Holston rivers for several years, he was offered a job at Eastern Fly Outfitters in Piney Flats, TN. Where he works in the shop when he isn’t out on the river guiding.
He is active in Trout Unlimited having served on the board of directors for the Cherokee Chapter and is a volunteer for Project Healing Waters. Huck is always excited to show his home waters to clients and loves to help anglers catch their first trout on a fly. Although trout are his passion. It’s not uncommon to see him on the river after work fishing for striped bass in the spring and summer.
Huck lives in Elizabethton Tennessee with his wife Amy. Just minutes away from the Watauga and South Holston rivers. “I have been blessed to be friends with, and learn from some of the best people in this industry”.
